چکیده

In this paper, an original framework to model human-machine spoken dialogues is proposed to deal with co-adaptation between users and Spoken Dialogue Systems in non-cooperative tasks. The conversation is modeled as a Stochastic Game: both the user and the system have their own preferences but have to come up with an agreement to solve a non-cooperative task. They are jointly trained so the Dialogue Manager learns the optimal strategy against the best possible user. Results obtained by simulation show that non-trivial strategies are learned and that this framework is suitable for dialogue modeling.

Coordinating a decentralized supply chain with a stochastic demand using quantity flexibility contract: a game-theoretic approach

Supply chain includes two or more parties linked by flow of goods, information, and funds. In a decentralized system, supply chain members make decision regardless of their decision's effects on the performance of the other members and the entire supply chain. This is the key issue in supply chain management, that the mechanism should be developed in which different objectives should be align...

The Impact of Task-Oriented Feature Sets on HMMs for Dialogue Modeling

Human dialogue serves as a valuable model for learning the behavior of dialogue systems. Hidden Markov models’ sequential structure is well suited to modeling human dialogue, and their theoretical underpinnings are consistent with the conception of dialogue as a stochastic process with a layer of implicit, highly influential structure. HMMs have been shown to be effective for a variety of descr...

Interacting with Knowledge Based Systems through Dialogue Games

Approaches to text generation have emphasised the need to plan dialogues between user and computer, but have paid insufficient attention to the highly conventional nature of much human-human interaction. It is possible to conceive of certain classes of dialogues as highly rule-governed activities, and to do so facilitates the planning of such dialogues, by decreasing the reliance on a model of ...

Quantitative Evaluation of User Simulation Techniques for Spoken Dialogue Systems

The lack of suitable training and testing data is currently a major roadblock in applying machine-learning techniques to dialogue management. Stochastic modelling of real users has been suggested as a solution to this problem, but to date few of the proposed models have been quantitatively evaluated on real data. Indeed, there are no established criteria for such an evaluation. This paper prese...

Monetary and Fiscal Policy Interaction in Iran: A Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Approach

Achieving the goals of price stability, sustainable economic growth, and the improvement of many economic variables require coordination between the monetary and financial authorities. In this study, a new modified Keynesian stochastic dynamic equilibrium general equilibrium model is introduced for Iran and in the framework of game theory, optimal policy of fiscal and monetary authorities are d...
